Costumagic will be a vendor at the United Cycle Sunsational Skating Competition April 20-22, 2018. The event is taking place at the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre, Edmonton, AB. We are looking forward to displaying some examples of the past custom work we have created as well as discussing our design ideas. Why not stop by the booth and talk with me.
That wasn't the best one!!!
We are MOVING locations. The new shop will be ready in August. In preparation for the move the workshop will be temporarily dismantled for the summer. That doesn't meant the business stops. There are more steps to creating the outfit of your dreams than just the sewing. I will still be working on ideas and design plans during this period of dismantled machines. Plus a seamstress is NEVER without at least one simple machine available.
Til I see you face to face,

I am booked as a vendor in the Mane Event for next April in Red Deer, AB. So my challenge these days is to determine what items to make as standard product for sale and what products to make as display and sample of items that can be custom ordered. Some of the products already made are available at Tudor Tack on 51st Ave in Edmonton. If anyone would like to check them out, they carry a wide range of items. We hope to fill a void in the custom fit department. Not everyone fits into a standard S, M, L piece of clothing. That's where we come in.
Currently we are working on some basic, reversible dickies, stock ties, lightweight breathable practice shirts, and western show shirts. Also intended for the show in 2018 are riding jackets and vests. Feedback and suggestions are always encuraged.

I am back from training and ready to get back to some creating. My latest adventure is in the Equestrian field. Riders wear specific costumes for their performances. This is a whole new learning curve for me since I am new to this field of performance. I would love some feed back from you to know the things you look for when picking your performance outfit, whether it is Hunter, Dressage, Western or any of the other genre. What colors? What styles? To date I am working on Dickies, Stock Ties, and Vests. Next is the western riding shirts and perhaps some side-saddle jackets I look forward to hearing from you

Just back form the Calgary Expo. It was an amazing time. Five adults and one baby all dressed in tutus, the Ballereevees made their appearance on the stage for the costume contest. There were so many fantastic costume there. I really didn't mind not placing in the contest. It was an experience and a treat to just take part. Check out the Calgary Expo website for pics. Pictures of The Ballereevees are in the photo Gallery here. I would love to hear which is your favorite.

I am excited to be starting this new format of information and connection. I love what I do and hope you feel my excitement when I share the projects here. We are attempting to improve this website and I am learning as I go. Costumes are my joy so most of my energy gets spent in the creations. I do see the need for the social media and the back office things too, so bare with me and we will travel this journey together. The first back office task on the table is improving this website even more. We are working on a business logo and as soon as I figure out how to include it in this site better I will. Current projects include a seniors gymnastic group outfit and a group of ballereeves for Calgary Expo.
